The Škoda Superb excels thanks to its wide range of active and passive safety elements, including some new features that guarantee maximum protection of the passengers’ life and health.
The fact that the Superb is really top of the range in safety terms is confirmed by a test performed by the independent organization Euro-NCAP, in which it obtained five stars, i.e. the highest possible rating.
Airbags are an integral part of a car’s safety features today. The Škoda Superb can offer up to nine airbags. In addition to the head airbags, driver’s and front passenger’s airbags and side airbags in the front, the Superb has a knee airbag for the driver and side airbags in the back.
Compliance with the “see and be seen” rule is assisted by Bi-xenon headlights with AFS functionality, integrated telescopic washers, a rain sensor and front fog lights with Corner function. Side indicator lights are integrated into the external mirrors for better visibility. Warning lights are also automatically activated when braking sharply. Drivers behind you will therefore have more time to react to a dangerous situation.
In addition to electromechanical power steering with variable effect and disc brakes on all wheels, a range of electronic system ensure excellent stability and control of the Superb.
Standard features include the ESP stabilising system with an EDL electronic differential lock and an HBA hydraulic brake assistant. Obviously, these systems also include ABS, MSR and ASR.
For your safety and a more comfortable drive, you can also order a hill hold control, with which you can easily start without using the handbrake. |
